ACT Jam 2025 | Canberra, Australia
7-9 November 2025
Story by Michael von Demleux
Bikes, Braddon and beer kegs is what ACT Jam 2025 was all about. Hosted yearly by Backbone, arguably Australia’s loosest & biggest BMX event. This weekend was the first time the three day event left the skate parks and took to the streets. On both Friday and Saturday night, Elouera street was transformed into an awesome spectacle of street riding with freestyle BMXers coming from all across the world to show off their skills jumping beer kegs, riding high, and getting cash for the top tricks.
Josh Dove & Shane Ellis taking away the marquee keg-jump and big air events respectively.
To wrap up the weekend the riding was taken to the Hillfire dirt jumps at Mt Stromlo. Appearances from the Nitro Circus crew, the tricks were turned all the way up to end ACT Jam 2025. From a pair of riders doing flips together, to a train of Monster Energy pros all landing the same trick, the energy was high for both riders and spectators all the way til sunset. Huge shout out to all the riders, organisers, diggers and park builders who put in so much work to make this event happen. The event is billed as for BMXers by BMXers and they built something special this weekend. (See Below)
